LTRC.  The Rim and its final moments.

Rest in pieces.......

Battle Bots Season 5

Loosening to a TUBE kinda stunk, so I wanted to get a hold of that tube next time I saw it if I did.  SO I added a clamp arm.  I also upped the voltage on the drive to 24v and added some more armor on the rear.  The hubs could not take the power and ripped apart, and I could not control it for anything.  I was hoping to come away with at least ONE win!  owell

Battle Bots Season 4 Treasure Island 2001

Almost a totally new bot.  The only thing reused was the rim.  New NPC actuated lifter arm, EV drive power at 12v, and a hole bunch of spikes to make sure it does not get stuck on its side!

The "BUTCH" RimTinTin as an inspector noted!

A redesign of the internal frame and motor mounts.  Still used the Jensons, but now at 24v of Gel cell.    The spike as you can see was replaced with a week lifter I took from ForkBot. The front plow was improved a lot.   I used an AL street sign!  My vantec blew the night before my fight, so I had to buy victors.  My radio did not have mixing, so I had to borrow a radio from Rob M.  I did not get the programming right on the radio, so I had NO control over it.  I think everyone saw what happened!  DAM BRICK

RimTinTin Battlebots Vegas 2000

FIRST time building a bot.  SO, I figured I would go really easy and cheep.  I built a big old armored RC car! OK a rim. Add a spike and a plow and make it fast.  I picked the Jensons  motors that were at one time very available at C&H for $7 each.  Big 12v 12AH gel cell and a decent radio.  Also grabbed a Vantec 23.  At the time the most advised ESC.  I took it very easy on the electronics.  In my fight, the cheep tin I used for the plow bent up hitting the kill saws.  Also, I had fuses as to just battery to vantec so I would not fry the vantec.  well it also cost me the match.  But all a learning experience.

The rim and my new radio sits up on  my Buick!
