I bought this car when I was 16.  I'm 25 now and still have it.  I never took many pics of it.  But that is going to change.

Project CAR

1970 Buick Skylark 4dr sedan.

I have no pics of the car when it had the orig motor or anything. It came to me with a Buick 350, 2 barrel and a TH350 to a 12bolt.  I put a Poston S Divider and mangled the exhaust. Just beat on the car.  180,000+ miles on it.  Ran great till I blew it.  But I had the 455 on the stand waiting ;)

I also wish I had more pics of the motor as I was building it.

At this point, New Fred Brown TH400,  3.73 gears with an Alburn posi.  8.5-1 compression, allot of work to the heads, nice cam, edelbrock intake, 2800 stall converter.  STILL 4 wheel drum :(

First time at the track, car ran its best time on street tires, 13.44 at 98mph during practice. SO I set,  in at 13.40.  I never got close to that number again in the comp, and lost first round to someone who was a tenth off there dial in time.   I was like hitting numbers like 13.49, 13.6.  I never liked bracket racing.

Some pics of the car when i had a few... incidents.

Its been several years since those above pics.  Its time to reincarnate!  NO budget, but allot of time. SOO!

I have been watching too much American Chopper.

Still got a lot to do on it yet, but the grill is starting to take shape :).

Yes, a 98 skylark bumper on a 70's car.  Just seeing if it will work.  NOPE

I basically finished the driver side.  Turned the car around and pulled the front windshield and front fenders.  Under the windshield, found a BUNCH of rot.  More so than I thought.  Have to fix the pass fender, inner fender, and radiator support.  Then maybe I can paint.   My goal is the first week of Sept.  Englishtown, 17th annual Buick performance.

Im not going to make Englishtown...

Sept 12, 2004

Rear of the car is just about done externally.  Trunk and floors are left as well as the front under the windshield.

More body work.

Oct 31, 2005..
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Some day...  Getting there. body DONE, Doors DONE, frame DONE, 2 fenders and a hood to go and the car is done with body work and fitting and putting it on and taking it off and putting it on and fitting and grinding..   Radiator support still kicking my tail but now I think i finally have a handle on it.  That will be done this week.  Gas tank done also.

It does look soo sweet without the vent window.

To be continued.

Just because its cold does not mean I cant get things done.  The motor was balanced and cleaned. New cam, new intake, opened up the ports on the heads more.
